Systems Guides is a focused educational publication explaining how physical, operational and engineered systems work. It covers common system concepts, transport, water, energy, manufacturing, industrial maintenance and selected building or municipal system profiles.
The publication was rebuilt by consolidating useful material from several former standalone Systems Guides sites, the earlier Systems subdomain, two former explanatory publications. The consolidation removed repeated site-level pages, merged overlapping articles and gave each subject a clearer home.
Editorial purpose
The goal is to help non-specialist readers identify system boundaries, trace flows, recognize dependencies, understand feedback and control, and ask better questions about capacity, maintenance, failure and recovery.
